Travel means more to me than simply changing location – it's the feeling of truly being able to enjoy special moments.

My name is Leif Achermann. I'm from Switzerland, and I'm the founder of AOI-Luxusreisen.

A few years ago, I discovered my passion for travel. I quickly realised that for me, it's never just the destination that matters, but above all the way you experience it: stylish flights, exceptional hotels and villas, outstanding food, personal service, and special experiences away from classic mass tourism.

I love comfort and quality – from the upper mid-range right through to the truly exclusive. But it was never about travelling as luxuriously as possible for its own sake. What matters far more to me is that a trip is genuinely worth its price and creates memories that last.

Through my own travels, I've come to know countless hotels, airlines, excursions and special activities – and time and again, I've seen just how great the difference can be between an ordinary holiday and a trip that's been put together with real care.

That's exactly where the idea for AOI-Luxusreisen came from: I want to pass on what I've learned and give other people exactly the kind of trips I most love experiencing myself.

Instead of crowded excursion boats, large tour groups, or snorkelling trips with hundreds of other guests, I look for the alternatives – private guides, individual boat tours, carefully chosen excursions, and authentic experiences in a pleasant atmosphere. Whether it's a private encounter with elephants, an exceptional day trip, a special villa, or a hotel with first-class service: every recommendation is chosen deliberately.

My aim with AOI-Luxusreisen is to put together trips where comfort, style, quality and individuality come together in harmony. Trips where you have as little as possible to worry about – and all the more to enjoy.

I don't just recommend trips. I share experiences I genuinely believe in myself.
