Phuket is larger than most people expect, and every corner has its own character. The quiet north with wide, almost empty beaches. The west with the large resorts and the sunsets. The south with views and short distances to the boat piers.

So we don't simply pick a hotel on Phuket – we pick the coast that matches your pace.

What you can do from here

• A private longtail or speedboat into Phang Nga Bay, with swimming stops away from the main routes
• A day trip to the Similan or Surin Islands for snorkelling
• Phuket Old Town: shophouses, small cafés and the Sunday night market
• A Thai cooking class, or dinner on the beach laid out for you alone
• Spa and wellness days at one of the larger resorts
